** Effective January 1, 2025 and on December 1, 2025 **

 The USPC and USEF have placed a ban on peacock stirrups with the intent to increase rider safety and reduce rider injury IN CLUB AND FEDERATION AFFILIATED COMPETITION.

”Saddle Attachments. No piece of equipment shall be attached to a saddle that has a rigid upward pointing projection, ok, or similar object capable of catching a rider’s clothing or person when dismounting, including stirrups.”

While the ban on peacock stirrups is an aim to increase rider safety;  we believe any safety stirrup is safer than no safety stirrup. In our experiences, peacock stirrups have prevented more injuries than they have caused.

    As you continue to search for budget friendly alternatives, keep in mind that there are no /perfect/ safety stirrups and all pose certain risks in their designs. Such is any equestrian sport or activity. We urge you to speak with your equine professionals and come up with equipment that works the best for you with safety in mind.
