SADDLE TRIAL POLICY

Saddle Trial Policy


     Most saddles may be taken on trial with a telephone consultation and an individual arrangement. Certain saddles may not be available for trial or may be final sale only. This will usually be noted in the listing. Saddles will be photographed and any defects will be noted on the shipping information. Please inspect the saddle on receipt and notify us immediately upon receipt of any damage not noted. If damaged, DO NOT TRY the saddle before calling us at 802/457-4677. If you call after hours there will be another number to call. Don't hesitate. We want to help you.

The saddle will be charged to your credit card when it leaves South Woodstock. We will credit it back to your card when it returns. All shipping and insurance charges will be charged separately and are non-refundable. Shipping is typically between $40 and $75 plus insurance depending on your location.

A trial period is a maximum of seven days.  The trial period starts on delivery per tracking and ends when you call or email us with a return tracking number or deliver it back to our store. Shipped returns must be insured. The method of shipping will be determined during your phone consultation. If we do not have the saddle, tracking number or an individual arrangement extending the trial period within seven days of receipt we will consider the sale final and non refundable. Call us immediately if you have any questions or concerns. We can usually work them out.

How to try out a saddle


     Saddles must be returned in the same condition that they arrived with all their appropriate tags and paperwork.

For NEW saddles, please use a clean saddle pad and use the saddle lightly to avoid sweat stains on the panels. Please cover the stirrup leathers, including the loose end,  with a tube sock to protect the flap from wear and oil stains. Be sure to use stirrup leathers which are dry and are not going to stain the saddle.

For USED saddles, please use a clean saddle pad and properly clean the saddle before you return it. If there is damage to any saddle that you are aware of please enclose a note describing the circumstances of the damage. Otherwise we will look at the saddle when it returns and if there is any problem we will contact you immediately.

You are responsible for any damage to the saddle. Small surface rubs or scratches and billet marks are to be expected but any damage not listed on the shipping information such as deep scratches, permanent discoloration of the finish or any deep impression into the leather will result in a damage charge when the saddle returns. Damage charges are rare and usually no more than 10% of the value of the saddle but if you run over it with a truck, you own it.
